ECOMONDO 2013, the participation of the Strategic Project ALTERENERGY

Energy is a strategic topic of  development at the local level and the Emilia Romagna Region aims as a priority to projects and initiatives on this subject. In particular, Alterenergy, strategic project of the IPA Adriatic program, is a key initiative on the theme of sustainable energy through an integrated approach and system for efficient use of energy and its production from renewable sources.

The project was presented at the exhibition space during Ecomondo 2013 and materials have been diffused as best practice of the regional system.

Green economy, environment, European funds are some of the central themes of the program of meetings sponsored by the Emilia Romagna Region at the international fair dedicated to the recovery of materials and energy and sustainable development, hold at Rimini Fiera from 6th to 9th of November 2013.

Promotion of environmental sustainability and energy efficiency, waste reduction, green economy, green purchasing of public administration are the central themes of the events organized by the Emilia-Romagna Region in the Ecomondo. Among the main events took place, the World Café of the green economy, a meeting of public participation -  innovative also in the formula - who invited the comparison of scenarios and prospects of the green economy in Emilia-Romagna, in the light of the opportunities of the new programming in 2014 - 2020 ERDF funds. During the meeting, it was possible to investigate the regional policy in the field of sustainability and energy planning, renewable energy sources, consumption and green technologies, low Carbony economy, including through the connection to the virtual square Green Economy and Sustainability and making its contribution by responding to surveys, questionnaire and commenting on the posts on the forum.

During the closing day there was a special focus on the "energy fund", the revolving fund subsidized financing for the green economy, funded by the ERDF and open until 29th November 2013, with a focus on objectives and eligible investments. Several further meetings scheduled, new projects for sustainable mobility, the theme of green purchasing through the theme of re-use of materials and energy.
