Alterenergy at Ecomondo Fair, a project stand and an international workshop

The Puglia Region and the Emilia Romagna Region, respectively ALTERENERGY Lead partner and partner, will be attend “Ecomondo 2014”, the leading exhibition for the environmental sector. During the International Fair, in Rimini from 5th  to 8th  November 2014,  a project stand will opened for 4 days and an international workshop for discussion and debate on regional instruments in the field of energy saving and efficiency will be held on the 5th November (10.00-12.30 am).

At the presence of international partners, administrator and local stakeholders, the workshop “Strategic Project ALTERENERGY- Smart generation communities: connecting ideas” will discuss about the tools of intelligent energy for small communities, the perspectives for the new programming period 2014-2020 and the new generation of intelligent communities through the analysis of best regional cases in the field of energy saving and efficiency.

The event will be opened by Silvia Grandi, Head of Department - Institutional Agreements and Area Special Programs, Emilia-Romagna Region. The following have confirmed their attendance at the workshop: Claudio Polignano, Alterenergy Project Responsible - Puglia Region, Paolo Cagnoli, Head of CTR Energy and Environment Evaluation A.R.P.A. Emilia-Romagna Regional Agency for Environment Prevention, Attilio Raimondi, Energy Service and Green Economy - Emilia-Romagna Region.

During the session “The experience of planning and integrated project of smart communities in Emilia-Romagna Region”, in particular, the speakers are: Davide Missiroli (Mayor Municipality of Brisighella - RA), Luigi Pieraccini (Mayor Municipality of Castrocaro Terme e Terra del Sole - FC) and Claudio Moretti (Mayor Municipality of Monchio delle Corti - PR). Finally, the Head of Mediterranean Department - Puglia Region, Bernardo Notarangelo, has the role to conclude with the perspectives of small communities in the European Territorial Cooperation. Moderator: Maria Paola Dosi, Professional Manager - Institutional Agreements and Area Special Programs Department Emilia-Romagna Region.

Ecomondo 2014: four days of exhibition, which expects more than 90 thousand visitors from all over the world, particularly in the Euro-Mediterranean region in which the event has taken on a leadership role, becoming not only the technological platform on the economy of the future, with particular attention to the main European and international strategies on eco and processing of waste into a resource, but also a hub of skilled training and information. In this context, the Mediterranean Department of Puglia Region will present ALTERENERGY inside a project stand where all visitors will learn more the Adriatic community of renewable energies activated by the Strategic project.
