Emilia Romagna Region: “The energy in the Balkans”, workshop in Ferrara

The workshop "The energy in the Balkans" will be held on April 1st in Ferrara, within the Strategic Project ALTERENERGY. The event is organized by the Emilia Romagna Region with other territorial partners for participation in the meetings of B2B expected at the RENEXPO fair in Belgrade.

The works will be introduced by Andrea Benini,  member of the Council of the Chamber of Commerce of Ferrara , the City's Mayor Tiziano Tagliani and Patrizio Bianchi, Regional Councillor for coordination of European policies. Speakers Federico Rubini, Director Balkan area - office in Belgrade- Roncucci & Partners Ltd., Emanuele Ferretti Law Firm and Tax Ferretti-Ippolito & Partners Ltd., Gianluca Baldoni regional internationalization office of companies and Silvia Grandi, Head of Department - Institutional Agreements and Area Special Programs of Emilia – Romagna Region.

The workshop will be a prerequisite for companies of the energy sector in preparation to B2B meetings to be held within the RENEXPO Fair in Belgrade. An opportunity to expand into foreign markets for companies from Emilia Romagna Region in the energy sector who live and work in the Adriatic and Ionian area that can develop investment opportunities with the Balkan countries. The workshop is part of a series of internationalization actions along with a catalogue of enterprises of the Adriatic- Ionian countries and a web area dedicated to provide the necessary elements to companies for their participation in international tenders and support legislation on investments.

RENEXPO® WESTERN BALKANS will be held in Belgrade from 22th to 23th April 2015 at Belexpocentar . The Fair RENEXPO, besides being the most important event on renewable in Serbia, is also the largest platform of energy throughout the Western Balkans region and is the most important meeting point for investors, public and local authorities, as well as business leaders in the fields of renewable energy.

The aim of ALTERENERGY project  is to develop replicable models of sustainable management of energy resources in local communities with a resident population of no more than 10,000 inhabitants, improving their ability to plan and manage integrated actions for energy saving and energy production from renewable sources, through a participatory approach involving citizens and local economic operators. The project provides support actions for energy companies and project partners are the eight regions of the Adriatic and the countries of the Western Balkans. Alterenergy aims to define a common strategy in the territorial field of renewable energy and energy conservation that helps to face a challenge to climate change by seeking a balance between the objectives of environmental protection, competitiveness and security of energy supply in Adriatic area. It is in this light that fits the organization of the workshop "The energy in the Balkans".
