Energy: Bari, Info day addressed to Apulian small municipalities

Friday, February 1st, at 9:00 am at the Cineporto in Bari. The Info Day is addressed to all the Apulian municipalities which are leaders in the field of sustainable energy and interested in hosting on their territory the interventions foreseen by the Strategic Project ALTERENERGY - Energy Sustainability for Adriatic Small Communities, funded within the cross-border Cooperation Programme IPA-Adriatic 2007-2013.

One of the aims of the Info day is to explain to the potential beneficiaries the public call for the submission of the expressions of interest (deadline: March 11th, 2013) promoted by Puglia Region Mediterranean Department.
The speakers are the regional councilors Silvia Godelli (Mediterranean, Culture and Tourism) and Angela Barbanente (Town planning) with Giuliana Trisorio Liuzzi, Puglia ARTI President.

During the Info Day the ARTI Puglia experts Giuseppe Creanza and Carlo Gadaleta Caldarola will intervene illustrating the contents and constraints of the public call, along with the the activities that Puglia Region will carry out between 2013 and 2015 in the selected municipality with population of less than 10000 inhabitants (Istat data January 1st 2010). Implementation and testing of models of sustainable management and use of energy resources are at stake, amounting to more than € 2 million.

The Project Coordinator Claudio Polignano, officer of the Mediterranean Department of Puglia Region, has the role to present ALTERENERGY, the first strategic project relying on 12.5 Million Euro total budget and structured into a partnership of 18 institutions operating in the energy sector in Italy (all Adriatic Regions), Albania, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia.
