Shortlist of small communities, the first Alterenergy workshop in Friuli Venezia Giulia

The Autonomous Region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Energy Division and partner of the Alterenergy project organizes the first  workshop for the municipalities shortlisted under the public call for small communities with population up to 10.000 inhabitants  in the Provinces of Udine, Gorizia, Trieste to develop sustainable energy management models.


The workshop - addressed to the administrators of teh communities and technical employees - will take place in Udine (Italy) on May 30th 2013, in the Region Conference Room. One of the main aims of the meeting is to explain to the administrators the Alterenergy Project objectives and the services provided  within the framework of Project Work Package  4 – Sustainable Energy Action Plans.

The workshop will be introduced by the energy and environment Regional MP, Mrs Sara Vito and by Director of the Energy Division, Mr Sebastiano Cacciaguerra. Then the technical discussion will start when Silvia Stefanelli, head of the renewable energy projects unit  will introduce the main  objectives and activities of the Alterenergy project as well as sustainable communities best practices. Afterwards services provided to the municipalities will be explained in details, namely energy balance sheets, sustainable energy action plans, feasibility studies and training activities.

Municipalities will have the opportunity to explain their energy strategies and their requests in order to start a cooperation and energy decision making sharing process with project managers that lies at the heart of project.

Finally the timeline of activities will be jointly shared between project managers and municipalities in respect of the project timeframe. The activities that will be carried out between 2013 and 2015 in the shortlisted municipalities will aim at the implementation of energy plans, feasibility studies, enhancement of knowledge on energy efficiency and  renewables.
