Innovative and sustainable grid projects awarded “Good Practice of the Year”
Three innovative projects that help advance the grid integration of renewable energy have received the “Good Practice of the Year” award from the Renewables Grid Initiative. The winners, announced at the Energy Infrastructure Forum in Copenhagen, are: Early Involvement of Landowners by Energinet.dk, the Virtual Power Plant Next Pool developed by Next Kraftwerke GmbH and Minimise Cable Impact on Marine Ecosystems by Terna.

The call for the sixth edition of the World Smart City Awards is now open for applications. Smart City players can present their candidacies from now until September 7th 2016. The winners will be announced at a ceremony to be held on November 16th 2016 in the scope of the Smart City Expo in Barcelona (Spain).
